Kayla Smalley Senior Digital Operations Specialist Kayla Smalley is a senior digital operations specialist in Technology for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where she leads website production and manages the development, testing, implementation, and support of the Foundation’s web platforms and processes. Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Smalley was a communications coordinator through the AmeriCorps Volunteer in Service to America (VISTA) program for LEANLAB Education, where she managed social media and email marketing, organized events, and supported the organization’s flagship program, the Incubator Fellowship – an accelerator for ed-tech entrepreneurs building businesses that drive toward improved outcomes for K-12 students and educators. Earlier, Smalley was a writing center tutor at Kansas State University, where she worked with undergraduate and graduate students on higher order concerns in face-to-face and online sessions. She also co-led Conversation Corner, a writing center program designed for English Language Learner (ELL) students to connect, practice speaking and writing skills, and learn about different cultures and customs. Smalley has a Bachelor of Arts in English, creative writing from Kansas State University.
