Lauren Aleshire Interim Director Lauren Aleshire is interim director in Strategic Communications for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where she leads communications projects that help strengthen and grow engaged communities, designs specific communications plans to achieve program goals, and oversees marketing campaigns. Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Aleshire was the marketing director for United Country Real Estate, where she shaped the implementation of successful office sales and agent recruitment strategies to support organizational growth, built a communication campaign, and managed and measured digital marketing assets. She also spent several years working at various advertising agencies supporting strategic goals through the development and implementation of content strategy and online marketing campaigns. She is the president of the Mission Woods City Council, a Big Brothers Big Sisters mentor, and the education chair of the Brookside Mother’s Association. Aleshire earned a Master of Business Administration in management from the University of Missouri – Kansas City and a Bachelor of Science in strategic communications with an emphasis in advertising and public relations and a minor in leadership studies from the University of Kansas.
