Maribel Martinez Senior Grants Specialist Maribel Martinez is a senior grants specialist in Finance and Grants Administration for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where she is involved in the day-to-day processing of Foundation grants and legal agreements and aids associates at all levels of the Foundation. Previously, Martinez was an executive administrative assistant for Kauffman Scholars, Inc., where she supported the program director with day-to-day tasks and projects, as well as general clerical support and document translations. Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Martinez worked as an administrative assistant for LULAC National Educational Services Centers, Inc., and the Greater Kansas City Hispanic Scholarship Fund. There, she was responsible for maintaining records and tracking budget earnings, expenditures, and communicating findings to the national office in monthly and quarterly reports. She also managed and coordinated complex nonprofit payroll, including determining proper allocation of grant monies for employee salaries, benefits, and processing information for all new employees. Martinez attended Westport High School and Penn Valley Community College.
