Tim Racer Deputy General Counsel Tim Racer is the deputy general counsel for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where he consults with associates to ensure the Foundation’s and its affiliates’ activities further its charitable purpose, minimizes risks through proper contracting, and ensures required filings. Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Racer formed and operated Generations Legal Partners, a legal firm specializing in estate planning and small business. Earlier, he was a partner in Will & Trust Center, an estate planning law firm, and also reviewed and negotiated contracts for American Century Investments. Racer earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctorate from Washburn University, in Topeka, Kansas. He is a graduate of the Greater Kansas City Chamber Centurions Leadership Development Program and established Summit Harvest community garden in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. He chaired his church’s mission team and has volunteered for numerous charitable organizations, including Literacy Kansas City (reading tutor), Hillcrest Transitional Housing, ReStart, Christmas in October, Lee’s Summit Social Services, Kansas City Community Kitchen, and Kansas City Rescue Mission, among others.
