Presented by the Kauffman Foundation in collaboration with Tech.co, Maggie Mae’s in downtown Austin, Texas, was transformed into a place of innovation, connection, and celebration for America’s makers, doers, and dreamers at SXSW 2018.

During the State of Entrepreneurship Address, more than 3,400 messages were sent to members of Congress and policymakers in 48 states and the District of Columbia, urging legislators to support entrepreneurship in all its forms wherever it exists by removing barriers in the path of entrepreneurs.

It’s time to rethink the word ‘entrepreneur’ to include all the makers, doers, and dreamers, who are as diverse and unique as the communities they call home and the businesses they create, because they are the job creators. They are the innovators. And they don’t fit into a single stereotype.
